New Post

This is a new post but it's minimalist so I am leaving out the paintings.

Almost given up

I am at number 333 - that was the last posted painting. I have about one hundred left but I have almost given up. What's the point of posting if nobody notices? Nobody buys. I know the art work is not that great and there is a lot of art out there to compete against but my paintings are not so bad, especially if they are available for a song. I have a couple of very good ones but I have not posted them yet. Have a nice day.

Fine, so I'm no good

It's not a bad thing to admit the truth to yourself. Never. If you are not a good artist, just tell yourself that and move on - practice and paint some more. I have only sold three small items in my life, although I have painted over 400 works. My stuff is simply not that good. Period. Am I an unappreciated painter? Nope. I'm just not good. That's all. Period. End of discussion.

Quotes 6 - Henry Moore

A sculptor is a person who is interested in the shape of things, a poet in words, a musician in sounds. Henry Moore

Moore is just stating the obvious.

Quotes 5 - Hedy Lamarr

A good painting to me has always been like a friend. It keeps me company, comforts and inspires. Hedy Lamarr
